May 8-June 21, 2009. Don is the featured artist at the annual show: “Once upon a time: Children’s Book Illustrators Then and Now”. The Museum’s webpage describes the exhibit:
“Our popular annual exhibit features the current work of children’s book illustrators alongside works created by the artists when they were children. See stories illuminated by some of today’s most innovative and exciting illustrators–and see what they were creating way back when! This years exhibit will be honoring Don Freeman, author and illustrator of Corduroy, the story of a bear who once lived in the toy department of a big store.”
